Los Angeles, CA (June 25, 2024) One person was left in critical condition after an LAPD cruiser crashed into their car. The accident happened at about 5:55 p.m. on Sunday.
LAPD reports that the fire department was responding to a call about an armed suspect, and they called for backup. The LAPD patrol unit that was heading to the scene to provide backup ended up crashing into another vehicle at the intersection of Gramercy Place and Adams Boulevard. It is unknown how or why the collision occurred.
The two officers inside the police car suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital. Sadly, the person in the other vehicle was critically injured. He was reportedly breathing, but he was unconscious. He was taken to the hospital, but we don’t know at this time if he is in stable condition.
