Merced, CA (June 12, 2024) A multi-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 140 and Hornitos Rd. on Monday, ending with at least two people being airlifted out of the scene with major injuries.
Reports say that the driver of a Toyota Sienna was driving eastbound on Highway 140 when they suddenly hit a Subaru Outback. As of now, authorities report that the driver of the Subaru Outback had crossed into the path of the Toyota Sienna. The Toyota driver reportedly did not expect this.
Even worse, the impact of this collision pushed the Toyota Sienna into yet another car, a Peterbilt. For reasons unknown at this time, the Peterbilt was stopped on the road. Details are still coming out as the investigation continues.

Authorities were called and emergency services were dispatched. The drivers (and possibly other occupants) of the Toyota Sienna and the Subaru Outback sustained injuries severe enough that they had to be airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno. It is unclear at this time if the driver of the Peterbilt was injured.
