Fresno, CA (October 23, 2023) – A man in his thirties lost his life on Saturday, October 21st, due to a tragic pedestrian accident on Maddy Drive in Fresno. The fatal accident occurred at around 10:00 in the evening very near to the entrance of the Community Regional Medical Center.
According to police reports, a driver was traveling north on Maddy Drive in a white van. Meanwhile the victim was crossing the Divisadero road at the intersection with Maddy Drive moving north. The van driver turned left as if to enter the westbound side of Divisadero when the van struck the pedestrian.

The man was severely injured by the collision. Several nurses came out from the Regional Medical Center to help provide emergency medical care and bring the injured man inside. He was admitted to the hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. Sadly, he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The van driver stopped and was cooperative with police. Local police are further investigating the pedestrian accident on Maddy Drive.
