Motorcyclist Killed in Silver Lake Crash on Hyperion

Silver Lake, CA (July 1, 2024) A sad collision took place in Silver Lake on June 23 that left one person deceased.

Details are still unfolding as an investigation continues. However, initial reports provide some context for this deadly crash. It’s been stated that an SUV collided head-on with a motorcycle.

When the crash occurred, the motorcyclist was ejected and flew about 40 yards away. Tragically, the rider died at the scene. The driver of the SUV remained on scene and cooperated with police officers who responded to the collision.

All lanes of Hyperion north of Tracy to Evans were closed following the crash.

Footage shows the motorcycle completely destroyed. The SUV, which appears to be a gray Kia, is smashed on the right side, making it clear just how intense and powerful the impact was. The right half of its windshield is shattered, and the right side of the bumper is obliterated.
