SAN DIEGO, CA (AUGUST 5, 2023): A motorcyclist was severely injured after a collision with a silver SUV on State Route Highway 163 (Cabrillo Freeway) in San Diego. The incident was reported by authorities on early Thursday morning at 7:39 a.m. as the motorcyclist and the SUV collided on the freeway driving southbound.
In the collision’s aftermath, a bystander assisted the motorcyclist in moving to the center divide of the highway. The rider suffered a broken leg and required immediate medical attention. The male driver of the SUV and his wife appeared unhurt, and remained at the scene.
Authorities are investigating the details regarding the cause of this crash.
