Pomona, CA (October 15, 2024) A tragic accident occurred on the 10 Freeway in Pomona on Monday morning, October 14th. The collision claimed one person’s life, according to police reports. It all happened around 4:30 a.m. between Towne Avenue and Indian Hill Boulevard.
It was still dark in Pomona as vehicles headed to destinations, early in the morning. At approximately 4:27 a.m., at least two vehicles collided on the westbound 10 Freeway, between Towne Avenue and Indian Hill Boulevard. The accident caused traffic issues in the area and the roadway was littered with glass and debris, officers reported.
When officers first arrived at the scene, they had to issue a SigAlert and block all of the lanes of the 10 Freeway. They hurried to the vehicles to find anyone who had been inured. Sadly, they found one person who had been killed in the accident. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and officers requested a coroner.
