The collision took place near Willms Road at approximately 6:22 a.m., according to police reports. It all happened near Knights Ferry, the California Highway Patrol stated.
It was early morning in Stanislaus County as motorists headed along Highway 108 at a steady pace. Suddenly, at least two vehicles collided at Willms Road, not too far from Knights Ferry, officers reported. The collision sent debris all over the road like confetti and left one person with injuries. The vehicles blocked a portion of the highway and the CHP received the 911 call immediately after the collision took place.

Officers with the California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene and found the two damaged vehicles in the middle of the roadway. Officers had to direct traffic around the accident while others checked the vehicles to see if anyone was in need of medical attention. At least one person was found with injuries, reports indicated. Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the injured person to a local hospital to receive treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
