San Diego, CA (July 26, 2024) One person was injured when two vehicles collided on Interstate 15 in San Diego. The collision happened on Thursday morning, July 25th, around 10:19 a.m., not far from Bernardo Center Drive.
A gray four-door sedan was heading south on Interstate 15 on Thursday morning. At the same time, a Tesla was also driving along Interstate 15 in San Diego. Suddenly, the two vehicles collided. The reason for this collision remains a mystery. The impact sent the sedan rolling. It came to a stop on its roof, officers reported. It blocked the No. 1 and No. 2 lanes of the freeway, causing significant traffic delays. The Tesla came to a stop on the right shoulder of the roadway.
Officers arrived at the scene and found both of the vehicles with major damage. Some began directing traffic away from the scene while others searched the vehicles to see if anyone was injured. They found at least one person with injuries, according to reports, and requested an ambulance at the scene. When paramedics arrived, they quickly loaded the injured person into the ambulance and transported them to a hospital where they received medical care.
Tow trucks had to be called to remove both of the damaged vehicles from the interstate. Debris littered the roadway in every direction and took crews quite a while to clean. Officers are working as quickly and thoroughly as they can to determine what caused this accident on Interstate 15 in San Diego. They are also determined to figure out who was at fault for this collision.
