Grover Beach, CA (April 11, 2024) Sad news spread through the Grover Beach community when a driver lost their life in a two-vehicle crash. It happened on Wednesday evening, April 10th, just minutes before 5:00 p.m. The two vehicles tragically collided at the intersection of El Camino Real and N. Oak Park Boulevard.
The two vehicles were approaching the same intersection in Grover Beach on Wednesday evening. As they both headed towards the El Camino Real and N. Oak Park Boulevard intersection, they collided. Both vehicles sustained major damage and the collision blocked the intersection, according to reports.
Police officers arrived at the scene and found the two damaged vehicles in the roadway. Debris was spread around the two vehicles in all directions and officers had to close the southbound lane of N. Oak Park Boulevard for several hours. They hurried to the two vehicles to see if anyone was injured and found one driver with life-threatening injuries. Paramedics at the scene used life-saving measures, but the driver succumbed to their injuries. With heavy hearts, paramedics stopped and pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle wasn’t injured in this collision, according to officers. Police officers investigated the scene and gathered evidence. They are determined to learn what caused this fatal collision at a Grover Beach intersection and who was liable.
Crews worked to clean debris from the roadway and officers called a tow truck to remove at least one of the vehicles from the scene.
