Riverside, CA (July 16, 2024) A fatal multi-vehicle collision happened early this morning.
California Highway Patrol was dispatched to the junction of the 91 and the 60 in Riverside around 2:08 a.m. There, they saw a body lying in the middle lanes of the 91 surrounded by damaged cars.
It’s not clear if the person was a pedestrian, or if they were ejected from one of the vehicles.
Early reports state that the crash began when a gray SUV hit the back of a semi-trailer.
The victim in the road was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been made available.
It’s unclear if any other injuries were sustained in this accident.
