Calimesa, CA (July 16, 2024) A tragedy occurred in Calimesa on Monday, July 15 just after midnight.
18-year-old Rodrigo Lucero of San Bernardino was driving a 2008 Honda Civic on I-10. Suddenly, for unknown reasons, he lost control of the vehicle, veered to the right, and rolled over.
The car went off the freeway and landed below the intersection of Cherry Valley and Calimesa Boulevard. Riverside County Fire Department arrived at the scene and sadly, they pronounced the young man deceased 15 minutes later.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding this terrible crash is ongoing.
