A gold RV and a white Ford F-150 pickup truck were heading along Highway 247, not far from Rattlesnake Canyon Road, on Saturday afternoon. For reasons that remain unknown, the two vehicles collided right around 2:00 p.m., officers reported. The collision left the damaged vehicles blocking the roadway and debris littered the highway.
Emergency personnel with the San Bernardino County Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene within minutes. They found the two damaged vehicles blocking the roadway and quickly went to the vehicles, ready to give medical aid to anyone in need. Reports indicated that two people inside the Ford pickup truck had sustained injuries in the collision. They were airlifted to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs to receive treatment.
