April 28,
(Antelope Valley, CA) A collision on State Route 138 ended with a driver dead in Antelope Valley.
On Monday, April 28 at 5:30 a.m., reports came to the police of the State Route 138 crash. It occurred at Hampel Avenue in the Pearblossom Highway, just half a mile from where another crash occurred near 106th Street East on Sunday night.
When California Highway Patrol officers arrived at the scene, they found a big rig and a minivan. After investigating, authorities came to the conclusion the big rig had pulled over the side of the road when the minivan drifted out of its lane, striking the semi-truck.
After assessing the State Route 138 crash, CHP officials pronounced one person dead at the scene. Their identity has not been made public by police. This marks the second deadly collision to have occurred on the Pearblossom Highway. On the previous day, just after 8 p.m., a separate crash killed two drivers and three passengers.
