Two Injured In Orange Collision On 22 Freeway

1 injured in two-vehicle crash on I-5 in Sacramento.

Orange, CA (September 11, 2024) A two-vehicle collision occurred on the Garden Grove 22 Freeway in Orange on Tuesday morning, September 10th, 2024. It happened at the southbound Costa Mesa 55 Freeway transition, just before 9:00 a.m. Two people sustained injuries in this accident, according to reports.

A red Tesla Model Y and a Lexus SUV collided in the eastbound lanes of the 22 Freeway. The cause of the collision is still under investigation as officers work to uncover what happened that morning.

Police officers arrived at the scene with paramedics and found the two vehicles with major damage. Debris littered the roadway in every direction, as well. Officers worked to keep traffic away from the scene as paramedics went to the vehicles and began assisting those who had been injured. Two people were found with non-life-threatening injuries, according to reports. At this time, it is unknown if they were treated at the scene or taken to a local hospital.

Officers investigated the scene and continue to work this case in an effort to not only understand what caused the accident, but to also uncover who was at fault. Crews quickly cleaned up the debris that was left behind at the scene so traffic could resume on the 22 Freeway in Orange.
