Van Nuys, CA (April 21.2024) A vehicle with three teenage occupants lost control and flipped onto its roof on Friday night in Van Nuys. Two of the three teenagers were critically injured in this accident that took place in a parking lot behind Subway. The crash occurred near the intersection of Sepulveda Boulevard and Saticoy Boulevard, according to reports.
The vehicle was heading through the parking lot behind Subway at a high rate of speed when the teenage driver lost control. The vehicle went airborne before landing on top of several parked cars in the parking lot, according to reports. The vehicle came to a stop on its roof, resting on top of the other parked cars.
Emergency crews hurried to the scene and found the car upside down on top of other vehicles in the parking lot behind Subway. Firefighters checked the vehicle and found three teenagers inside. They carefully removed the three occupants from the vehicle after evaluating them for injuries. They found two of the teenagers with critical injuries and rushed them to a local hospital, via ambulance, for treatment. They remain in critical condition, reports indicated.
Investigators gathered evidence at the scene and officers called for a tow truck to remove the severely damaged vehicles from the parking lot. Several of the parked vehicles in the parking lot were also damaged in this accident, according to reports. Debris and glass had to be cleaned in the parking lot, as well. Officers are working to determine what exactly caused this collision in a Subway parking lot in Van Nuys.
