Two-Vehicle Collision On State Route 18 Claimed Vanessa Marie Taylor’s Life In Palmdale

Palmdale, CA (March 11, 2024) Tragedy struck the town of Palmdale on Friday night in the form of a two-vehicle collision. Sadly, the accident claimed the life of 56-year-old Vanessa Marie Taylor on State Route 18, near 253rd Street East. It’s a grim and sad reminder that life can change in an instant.

11:00 p.m. on March 8th left vehicle driving in the dark, headlights beaming as drivers navigated to and from their destinations. A 2020 Dodge Ram was heading east on State Route 18 as a 2018 Ford approached them from the west. For reasons still unknown, the vehicles collided, officers with the California Highway Patrol reported.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene and found both vehicles badly damaged and blocking the highway. Paramedics hurried to give medical aid to anyone who was injured in the collision. Sadly, they found the driver of the Ford, identified as Taylor, with fatal injuries. Authorities pronounced her dead at the scene and awaited the arrival of the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner coroner to arrive at the scene.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, identified as 43-year-old James Michael Wolfe from Palmdale, sustained serious injuries in the crash. Paramedics quickly took him to Antelope Valley Medical Center to receive treatment for injuries he sustained.

Officers with the Antelope Valley Area California Highway Patrol are investigating this fatal accident. They are asking that anyone who has information regarding this deadly crash to call the police.
