Turlock, CA (July 11, 2024) A two-vehicle collision in Turlock on Wednesday afternoon, July 10th, left one person injured, officers reported. The accident occurred just before 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of West Canal Drive and North Tully Road, the Turlock Police Department reported.
It was early afternoon in Turlock as traffic moved steadily along. Suddenly, two vehicles entered the intersection of West Canal Drive and North Tully Road at the same time, causing them to collide right around 12:24 in the afternoon. Debris littered the roadway and the two vehicles were able to pull over to the side of the road in an attempt to not block traffic, reports indicated.
The Turlock Police Department hurried to the scene after receiving the dispatch call. They found the two vehicles damaged vehicles sitting on the side of the road, near the intersection. Shortly after police officers arrived at the scene, the Turlock Fire Department arrived. One person had sustained back injuries in the accident and paramedics with the TFD transported the injured party to a local hospital, via ambulance.
Officers took statements from witnesses, as well as those who were involved in the accident, at the scene. They gathered as much evidence as they could find and are working to determine what caused this two-vehicle collision in Turlock. They are also determined to figure out who was responsible for this accident on Wednesday afternoon. At this time, officers have reported that the investigation is ongoing.
