San Diego, CA (September 5, 2024) Social media was alight on Wednesday, September 4, as footage of a Subaru crossing multiple traffic lanes and causing a crash circulated.
At about 3:18 p.m. on the 805 in San Diego, the Subaru driver was seen on film driving on a hill off the side of the road before merging into the lanes. They then got onto the 163 south offramp, then seemed to lose control of the vehicle and veered across all lanes. They slammed into a Ford SUV, then rolled over near the exit at Genesee Avenue.
CHP is still investigating the incident, but DUI is not suspected. The drivers of the Subaru and the Ford were taken to a hospital with injuries of unknown severity. ABC 7 reported that one other person was also taken to the hospital, but it’s unknown who that is at this time.
