Willits, CA (July 16, 2024) A teenager survived a sideswipe collision leaving the other driver, a 30-year-old Willits man, deceased. It happened on July 14.
The 30-year-old was driving a 1985 Toyota pickup truck eastbound on Valley Road around 11:00 p.m. when he sideswiped an oncoming 2022 Honda Accord. The Honda was being driven by a 16-year-old female.
The crash caused the Toyota to rollover and the man, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. Sadly, CalFire and MedStar Ambulance personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
The condition of the teenager is not clear at this time. Reports have not stated that she sustained any injuries.
