Wildomar, CA (August 5, 2023) A collision on the southbound Temecula Valley (15) Freeway just north of Wildomar trail, left one person dead and 2 others injured, according to California Highway Patrol. It all happened around 12:40 a.m.
The victim was driving a 2014 Hyundai Genesis southbound on I-15 at high speeds when she rear-ended a Nissan Rogue. After this collision, the Hyundai stopped in the southbound number 2 lane, where it died.

A 2019 Nissan Armada was traveling south on I-15 at the same time when it crashed into the Hyundai, being unable to see it in the dark. The people in the Hyundai weren’t wearing seat belts and were thrown from the car, landing in the center divider. One of the victimes, a 23-year-old woman from Mission Hills, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other occupant of the Hyundai, 24-year-old Alicia Gonzalez of Vista, was seriously injured. The driver of the Nissan, 47-year-old Nache Phillips of Aguanga, sustained minor injuries in the collision.
California Highway Patrol and Cal Fire Riverside responded to the accident. Investigators believe the 23-year-old, who was driving the Hyundai, was driving under the influence of alcohol.
