Palmdale, CA (October 12, 2023) One person was killed in a 2-vehicle collision in Palmdale on Wednesday night, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Palmdale Station. The crash happened on Palmdale Boulevard shortly after 9:00 p.m.

Deputies said one vehicle was heading east and the second vehicle was heading west when the first vehicle swerved into oncoming traffic. The 2 vehicles collided, head-on, in the westbound lane.
The passenger of the 2nd vehicle sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to officials. The driver of the first vehicle, who swerved into oncoming traffic, was arrested at the scene for driving under the influence of alcohol.
