2 Killed In 3-Vehicle DUI Collision On Interstate 15 In Miramar

One killed and 20-year-old Dylan River Lossing arrested for DUI on Highway 101 in Santa Maria.

Miramar, CA (March 18, 2024) Sadness clouded the community of Mirimar on Saturday as news spread of a fatal accident that claimed the lives of two people on Interstate 15. The California Highway Patrol reported that they arrested two drivers on suspicion of DUI following the three-vehicle crash.

A Toyota 4-Runner, driven by a San Diego man, was heading north on Interstate 15 when it was rear-ended by a Honda Civic. A Chevrolet Colorado then slammed into the back of the Honda, officers said.

The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene with paramedics and found the two passengers inside the Honda deceased. With heavy hearts, they were pronounced dead at the scene by authorities.

The driver of the Honda, identified as Esteban Coronado, 25, and the driver of the Colorado, 22-year-old Joseph Michael Martin, were both arrested. Officers at the scene determined that both drivers had been intoxicated at the time of this deadly accident.  They were both booked into the San Diego County Jail.
