Upon investigation, officers determined that the driver of the vehicle was driving while under the influence of alcohol. It all happened in the 1700 block of West 83rd Street in South Los Angeles around 1:30 p.m. The suspected drunk driver pulled out of a nearby liquor store parking lot right in front of traffic. An SUV couldn’t avoid the drunk driver and the two vehicles collided. The force of the crash caused the SUV to slam into the bus stop where Alma and her young daughter were.
The Los Angeles Police Department said that no arrests have been made in this deadly crash, but they believe they are getting closer to finding the suspect. Alma’s and Alexa’s family just want justice, according to Alma’s father, David Aragon, who said, “They have to pay.”
