Upland, CA (October 4, 2024) On Wednesday, a woman was tragically killed and her granddaughter was critically injured in a DUI crash in Upland.
The two were driving in Upland and approached the intersection of Euclid Ave. and 15th Street. The woman proceeded through the intersection when suddenly, a speeding driver crashed into her car.
Emergency crews had to extricate the woman and her granddaughter from the car. They were both rushed to a trauma center, but the 83-year-old woman sadly succumbed to her injuries. As of Thursday night, the granddaughter remained in critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle that struck them was arrested for DUI. The grandmother was identified as Barbara Taylor of Rancho Cucamonga.
