Oildale, CA (July 31, 2023) A woman, with her two children in the vehicle, hit another car in Oildale on July 28th. The collision occurred around 11:00 p.m. and the woman tried to escape on foot with her two children, ages 10 and 8.
The woman, driving a 2014 Ford Edge, collided with a 2016 Chevrolet Cruz. After the collision she and her children left the car and began running. They were found several hundred feet away from the accident.

The woman was arrested and taken to Kern County Jail for driving under the influence of alcohol, as well as a felony hit-and-run involving injury.
The children, both unharmed, were put in their father’s custody. The driver and one other person in the Chevrolet Cruz that was hit, were injured in the collision.
