Ukiah, CA (July 27, 2023) Malia Donovan, 25, of Santa Rosa, was driving northbound on Highway 101 in Ukiah when she caused an accident that made her vehicle to roll and then catch fire. Donovan was driving a 2016 Jeep Cherokee around 10:20 a.m. on Sunday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Donovan made an unsafe turning movement just north of Rivino Ranch Road, and her Jeep moved into the other lane of traffic. There, her Jeep collided with a 2019 Toyota Tacoma, driven by a 52-year-old Windsor Man.

Donovan lost control and went off the road, causing the Jeep to roll. The vehicle came to rest on it’s tires again before catching on fire. The fire spread quickly, but Donovan was able to get out of the Jeep before it became engulfed in flames.
Authorities say they believe alcohol was a factor in this accident.
