Las Vegas, NV (October 14, 2024) A 60-year-old man was left with life-threatening injuries when he was struck by a vehicle while crossing Fremont Street on October 11.
Around 2:33 p.m. that day, a motorist in a Ram van was attempting a left from a private driveway onto southbound Fremont Street. The driver failed to yield the right-of-way to the 60-year-old pedestrian who was walking in the crosswalk. The front of the Ram struck the man and pushed him into the road.
The pedestrian was rushed to the hospital by paramedics. As of the latest report, he remains in critical condition.
The driver of the Ram did not sustain injuries, and he was found to be impaired. He was placed under arrest for DUI and right-of-way charges.
