Temecula, CA (September 16, 2024) A woman was tragically struck and killed by a vehicle on Saturday, September 14 in Temecula.
33-year-old Nancy Arzate was on the northbound I-15 standing outside of her car after she had been involved in a solo crash shortly before 10 p.m. Her car came to rest on the freeway’s right shoulder, and she exited the car and stood next to it.
A driver was going about 70 mph toward the scene and struck Arzate and her car. Reports say he then fled on foot, but CHP found him and arrested him for hit-and-run causing death, murder, and DUI causing great bodily injury.
CHP Temecula is still investigating this devastating incident.
