SAN RAFAEL, CA (OCTOVER 2, 2023): An officer is injured following a collision with a DUI high-speed driver in San Rafael Monday afternoon.
According to San Rafael authorities, the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m., when a DUI driver sped through a red light and broadsided a patrol vehicle.

The officer was transported to an area hospital for the treatment of minor injuries. The second motorist was arrested for driving without a license and driving under the influence.
