Jesse Dubois arrested for hit-and-run with cyclist

SAN PABLO, CA (May 10, 2022) – Jesse Dubois, 30, was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter when he struck a 68-year-old cyclist and fled the scene. 

Dubois allegedly struck and killed the cyclist on Saturday morning near Rumrill Boulevard and 19th Street before police officers could arrive. 

Police reported that they arrived at the scene with the cyclist lying on the ground where they attempted to perform life-saving measures, but ultimately the cyclist succumbed to his injuries. 

The cyclist’s name hasn’t been released. 

Despite fleeing the scene, Jesse Dubois was found by the police via public safety cameras, which helped identify Dubois’ car – a 2011 burgundy Nissan Sentra. 

When Jesse Dubois was found in the 700 block of Market Avenue in Richmond, police discovered damage to the Nissan consistent with the accident details.
