Joseph Lewis Critically Injured In DUI Car Accident In Merced County By 3rd Avenue and Edminster Road
MERCED COUNTY, CALIFORNIA (October 12, 2021) – A man identified as Joseph Lewis was seriously injured in a car accident with a drunk driver by 3rd Avenue and Edminster Road.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 1:45 p.m. on Sunday. A driver failed to stop at a posed stop sign and struck the car being driven by Joseph Lewis.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help the victim. Joseph Lewis was flown to the Doctor’s Medical Center with serious injuries.
The driver of the GMC that failed to yield was arrested on suspicion of DUI. A full investigation into the collision remains ongoing at this time.
