18-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed In Contra Costa Crash

Motorcyclist killed in Contra Costa crash.

Contra Costa, CA (October 24, 2024) An 18-year-old was killed on Wednesday, October 23rd, when their motorcycle collided with another vehicle in Contra Costa. The accident occurred on Contra Costa Boulevard, in Pleasant Hill, according to reports. The two vehicles collided at approximately 6:40 p.m., near Dexter Drive.

Dispatch began receiving 911 calls about a collision involving a motorcycle. The Pleasant Hill Police Department arrived at the scene and found the motorcycle and its rider on the ground. The rider had sustained life-threatening injuries, according to reports. Paramedics rushed them to John Muir Hospital to receive emergency treatment. The team did everything they could to try and save the young motorcyclist. Unfortunately, they had sustained injuries that were too severe, and succumbed to those injuries. Sadly, officials pronounced the victim dead at the hospital.

The driver of the other vehicle involved remained at the scene and cooperated with police officers during their investigation. The motorcycle was hauled away and pieces of debris were cleaned from the roadway. Officers are still working to determine not only what caused this fatal accident, but who was responsible.
