Riverside, CA (August 31, 2023) A 29-year-old motorcyclist died on Tuesday evening after colliding with another vehicle. The Riverside Police Department reported that the accident happened around 7:50 p.m. The other vehicle involved in the crash was an on-duty Riverside County District Attorney’s Investigator.

The Riverside Fire Department Paramedics joined the Riverside Police Department at the scene. Officer Ryan J. Railsback, the Riverside Police Department spokesperson, told City News Service that the accident occurred at the intersection of Arlington Avenue and Rutland Avenue.
An investigation revealed that the motorcyclist was traveling west on Arlington Avenue. As he approached Rutland Avenue, he collided with the vehicle driven by the district attorney’s investigator. At the time of the collision, the car was making a left turn into a driveway when the motorcycle crashed into it, according to Railsback.
Detectives at the scene determined that the motorcyclist was speeding, which led to the collision. The motorcyclist was killed in the collision.
