Westlake, CA (October 26, 2024) A devastating motorcycle collision occurred late last night in Westlake, claiming a 25-year-old rider’s life. It happened at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and South Bixel Street at approximately 11:46 p.m. on Friday, October 25th, 2024.
Initial reports indicated that a 25-year-old man was riding a motorcycle through the Westlake District of Los Angeles around 11:45 p.m. As he approached the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and South Bixel Street, a sedan was heading north and slammed into the motorcycle, head-on. The rider was thrown through the air before making a hard landing on the ground. The motorcycle feel to the ground in a dented and bent heap of metal, plastic, and rubber.

The Los Angeles Fire Department quickly arrived at the scene, flashing emergency lights illuminating the darkness. They found the motorcyclist on the ground with fatal injuries. Sadly, there was nothing they could do and the 25-year-old rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the sedan, a 59-year-old, remained at the scene and cooperated with police officers. The Central Traffic Division of the Los Angeles Police Department is leading the investigation. They are determined to uncover what caused this deadly accident in Westlake.
