Man, 40, Killed in Downtown L.A. Motorcycle Crash

Los Angeles, CA (July 8, 2024) A terrible accident happened on Sunday, July 7 in downtown Los Angeles. A dispatcher from the LAPD’s Operations Center reported that they learned of the crash at about 4:12 p.m.

An unknown vehicle was turning southbound onto Alameda Street from Industrial Street that afternoon when a motorcyclist crashed into it. It’s unclear which side of the vehicle the motorcycle hit.

The man riding the motorcycle, a 40-year-old according to early reports, was ejected from his bike. When authorities arrived at the scene, they rushed him to a hospital. Tragically, he was pronounced dead.

It’s not clear at this time if any occupants in the other vehicle were injured.

The name of the motorcyclist has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.
