Officers stated that evidence at the scene showed that the vehicle had been heading east on Flamingo Road and came up behind the moped. After speaking with witnesses at the scene, officers learned that the vehicle involved was a Ford F-150 pickup truck. It approached the moped from behind and witnesses said it didn’t even slow down for the moped in its path. It slammed into the back of the moped, causing the rider to be thrown. The Ford didn’t stop or even slow down, it just kept driving. It continued east on Flamingo Road until it was out of sight.

The rider on the moped sustained life-threatening injuries in this hit-and-run accident. Paramedics were ready to give aid to the 66-year-old, but sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witness statements helped officers locate the vehicle that struck the moped rider. In doing so, they also found the driver, 68-year-old Kenneth Frank, whom they arrested. He faces charges of reckless driving resulting in death and failure to stop at the scene of an accident, authorities said.
