Granite Bay, CA (May 24, 2024) Sadness swept through the community of Granite Bay following an accident that claimed a motorcyclist’s life. The tragic collision occurred on May 14th on Douglas Boulevard just before 6:30 p.m. A motorcycle collided with a red Cadillac near Kingsgate Drive, according to reports.

The motorcyclist was riding a red Hareley-Davidson along Douglas Boulevard in Granite Bay on the evening of May 14th. At the same time, a red Cadillac was driving along Kingsgate Drive. Without warning and with no time to react, the two vehicles collided in the middle of the intersection. Shortly after the accident occurred, good Samaritans saw the aftermath and rushed to help those involved.

The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist on the ground with good Samaritans trying to help them. The motorcycle was smashed and laying in a heap several feet from the rider. The driver of the red Cadillac stopped, following the accident, and waited for police officers. Paramedics rushed to the motorcyclist, ready to begin life-saving measures, but they discovered that the rider had been killed in the accident. Sadly, they pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene and called for a coroner.

Officers are investigating this collision to determine what exactly took place on Douglas Boulevard in Granite Bay. The driver of the Cadillac cooperated with officers during their investigation, as well. The motorcycle had to be hauled from the scene and the investigation is ongoing as officers try to determine what caused this accident and who was at fault.
