San Diego, CA (August 24, 2023) A motorcyclist was seriously injured on Wednesday after a collision, according to the San Diego Police Department. It is 1 of 2 serious accidents involving a motorcycle in the area that occurred on Wednesday.
The San Diego Police Department was called to the 2800 block of Kurtz Street around 10:25 a.m, according to San Diego Police Department Officer Sarah Foster. Upon arrival they found the motorcyclist with potentially fatal injuries.

The 25-year-old motorcyclist was riding his Kawasaki RS westbound on Kurtz Street. Officer Foster said he was passing stationary traffic on the street when he crashed into a rental moving van just east of Rosecrans Street.
The motorcyclist was taken to a local trauma center to receive treatment for severe, possibly fatal, injuries he received in the collision.
