Acampo, CA (June 24, 2024) A community was left concerned following a motorcycle accident that left the rider with critical injuries in Acampo. The accident occurred just after 4:00 p.m. on State Route 99, on Wednesday, June 19th. The motorcycle collided with another vehicle not too far from Stockton, near the Collier Road off-ramp.
A motorcyclist was riding a Harley Davidson along southbound State Route 99 on Wednesday, June 19th, when they were struck by a Honda sedan, officers reported. The force from the collision threw the rider from their motorcycle and they landed on the ground. The rider rolled until they came to a stop in the middle of the frontage road, where they laid, motionless.
The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene within minutes and found the rider lying in the middle of the road. They hurried to the rider’s side and found that they were alive, even though they weren’t moving. Paramedics arrived at the scene and rushed the Harley Davidson rider to a local hospital, via ambulance, to receive treatment for critical injuries. The driver of the Honda sedan remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Reports indicated that no one in the Honda was injured in this collision.

Traffic Collision Detectives with the California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene and began gathering evidence. Officers are working to determine what caused this collision in Acampo and who was responsible. A tow truck was called to haul the Harley Davidson motorcycle from the scene following the investigation.
