RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA (JULY 18, 2023): 26-year-old motorcyclist Riley Myers has died after colliding with the rear end of a private vehicle towing a trailer on the Riverside (91) freeway Tuesday afternoon. The vehicle, according to California Highway Patrol, was driving in the middle lane of the freeway just east of Main Street when it came to a stop for reasons “still unclear.” Myers then slammed into the trailer and was ejected from his motorcycle.

Corona Fire Department pronounced Myers dead at the scene. Three lanes on the westbound highway were shut down for nearly three hours. Investigators hope to determine how or why Myers was unable to stop in time before the trailer reached his vehicle.
