Santa Nella, CA (August 29, 2024) A collision involving a motorcycle occurred in Santa Nella on Sunday, August 25th. The collision left the motorcyclist with serious injuries, according to reports. It happened on State Route 33 at the Henry Miller Road intersection, just after 4:00 p.m.
For reasons that remain unknown, a white BMW collided with the motorcycle, causing the rider to be thrown. The rider and the motorcycle ended up in the middle of the highway, causing major traffic hazards, reports indicated. The driver of the BMW immediately stopped and waited for authorities to arrive.
Officers found the motorcyclist on the ground with serious injuries. Paramedics with Cal Fire arrived and transported the rider to a local hospital to receive treatment for major injuries, officers reported. The motorcycle was completely smashed and destroyed, and had to be removed from the scene.

The California Highway Patrol Traffic Accident Department sent detectives to investigate the collision. They are working to piece together not only what caused this accident, but who was responsible. The investigation remains ongoing.
