San Diego, CA (October 8, 2023) 2 women were struck and injured by an SUV in the Bay Park community of San Diego on Saturday evening. The San Diego Police Department reported that the accident occurred shortly before 7:00 p.m.
A 64-year-old woman and a 67-year-old woman were walking together in the southbound lane in the 1700 block of Knoxville Street. A 79-year-old woman was driving a 2013 Toyota Venza at the same time and struck the 2 pedestrians.

The San Diego Police Department stated that drugs and alcohol are not factors in this collision. Paramedics arrived at the scene to help the two pedestrians who both sustained non-life-threatening injuries. One of the pedestrians was rushed to a local hospital to receive treatment.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
