Dallas, TX (November 8, 2023) Three construction workers were injured after a car crashed into the underground area where they were working in Dallas, according to Dallas Fire-Rescue. The driver, 31-year-old Aighiray Harper, was arrested. It happened on Houston Street near the Perot Museum in downtown Dallas.
Initial reports indicate that the driver was distracted and crashed through the barricades set up around the construction perimeter. After slamming through the barricades, it crashed into an underground hole where 3 construction workers were stationed. The car landed on one of the workers, pinning him in. All three construction workers were injured in the collision.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found freed the worker who was pinned under the vehicle. All three construction workers were loaded into ambulances and taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Workers began trying to remove Harper’s car from the construction hole and cleaned up the destroyed barricades. Harper, himself, was arrested at the scene for unrelated outstanding warrants. Officers are still investigating this collision to try and determine why Harper was so distracted and what caused him to completely ignore the barricades. Harper’s negligence injured 3 people and the entire thing could have been a lot worse!
