It was a late October morning in Fremont when dispatchers received a 911 call about a child that had been struck by a vehicle. The accident occurred in a parking lot, just before noon. Reports indicated that a vehicle began backing out of a parking spot and didn’t see the 3-year-old. The left side of the vehicle hit the child as it back out, officers reported.
