Board got out of his family’s car to head to football practice. Unfortunately, on this day, he wouldn’t make it to practice. As he crossed the street towards the high school, a vehicle hit the boy while he was in the road.
Emergency crews transported Board to a local hospital where he hung on for two days before succumbing to his injuries. He died on Saturday morning, September 16, 2023. Authorities have said that the collision was an accident and that the driver of the truck was more than likely the parent of one of the other children there for practice.
