Berkeley, CA (November 2nd) A 7-year-old boy was struck and injured by a car on Halloween night while trick-or-treating in Berkeley. Authorities said the accident happened in the 1200 block Derby Street just before 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31st.

The boy was walking through neighborhood streets in a costume, trick-or-treating with several other children on Halloween night. Little did he, or his parents, realize that this would be a Halloween he’d never forget. As the children walked, partaking in a Halloween tradition, a dark-colored sedan was driving down the road. The driver suddenly hit the boy and quickly fled the scene, leaving the child injured in the roadway.
