Rancho Cucamonga, CA (September 26, 2024) 65-year-old Ann Cunerty was struck and killed by a vehicle in Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024. The fatal accident occurred on Foothill Boulevard around 8:20 p.m., near Orchard Place, according to reports.
Cunerty was walking along Foothill Boulevard in Rancho Cucamonga as a vehicle approached. For reasons that remain unknown, the vehicle struck the 65-year-old pedestrian, knocking her to the ground. She had sustained life-threatening injuries in the accident as she waited on the ground for paramedics.
She was quickly loaded into an ambulance and rushed to San Antonio Regional Hospital to receive treatment. The emergency staff at the hospital did everything they could to save Anna Cunerty, but her injuries were too severe. She succumbed to her injuries just before 9:00 p.m. At approximately 8:56 p.m., she was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to reports.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department – Rancho Cucamonga Station is leading the investigation into this fatal accident. Officers are determined to piece together what caused this collision in Rancho Cucamonga.
