Riverside County, CA (August 4, 2023) Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, Jurupa Valley Station, sent deputies in response to a call involving a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle early Friday morning. The accident took place in the intersection of Van Buren Boulevard and Bellagrave Avenue in Jurupa Valley.

The victim was identified as Jurupa Valley resident, Bonnie Leue, 57. Cal Fire said they still don’t know what caused the accident, but it happened around 12:32 a.m. Leue was hit by a vehicle and suffered serious injuries.
Deputies and California Fire arrived within minutes and found the pedestrian. Leue was pronounced dead at the scene at exactly 12:40 a.m. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities as they conducted their investigation into the collision.
