Elderly Man Struck, Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver In Anaheim

Anaheim, CA (September 3, 2024) An 84-year-old man was tragically killed by a hit-and-run driver in Anaheim on Monday morning, September 2, 2024. The fatal accident occurred at the intersection of Cerritos Avenue and Anaheim Boulevard right around 5:30 a.m.

Dispatch received a call about a man lying on the ground near the intersection of Cerritos Avenue and Anaheim Boulevard. Officers with the Anaheim Police Department arrived at the scene and found the man on the ground, unresponsive. Reports indicated that he had sustained severe traumatic injury and the officers determined that he had obviously been struck by a vehicle. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Officers gathered as much evidence as they could find at the scene and are working to determine to figure out what happened at this Anaheim intersection. They are also set on finding the vehicle responsible and bringing the driver to justice.
