Female Pedestrian, 62, Killed In Vegas BMW Hit-and-Run

Pedestrian struck and killed by hit-and-run driver on Old Highway 18 in Apple Valley.

Las Vegas, NV (September 5, 2024) On August 29, 2024, at about 9:21 p.m., a fatal vehicle VS. pedestrian crash occurred in Vegas.

LVMPD reports that a BMW M4 was traveling westbound on W. Maule Avenue approaching Pearland Street. Meanwhile, a pedestrian was crossing W. Maule Avenue east of Pearland Street and entered the path of the BMW. A collision occurred when the front of BMW struck the pedestrian, projecting her westward onto the road.

The driver of the BMW fled the scene, but later returned and spoke to officers. He was not determined to be impaired and was arrested for hit-and-run charges.

Paramedics rushed the pedestrian to UMC Trauma, but the 62-year-old tragically succumbed to her injuries. Her identity is being withheld at this time.
